BESSY II at HZB - A glimpse into the machine room of science

This short movie of Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin due to ist 10th anniversary was presented live on 18 February in the Tipi at the Chancellery. Now it can be seen publicly. In the midst of large halls, full of glittering machines or in laboratories where people wear blue protective clothes and hoods on their heads, we see the protagonists of the film. They let us feel the joy when they tinker with something new. One of them is Beatriz Roldan Cuenya (6:35 – 7:28).

During the first meeting of the General Assembly of the Cluster of Excellence "Unifying Systems in Catalysis" (UniSysCat), the executive board was elected. One of its members is Beatriz Roldan Cuenya.

Prof. Roldan received European Research Council Consolidator Grant

Prof Dr Beatriz Roldán Cuenya will receive one of the most renowned Consolidator Grants from the European Research Council (ERC). The grant funding is two million euros for five years. The RUB scientist aims to use the money to gain new insights into the catalytic abilities of nanoparticles, particularly how the size, shape and chemical state of the particles change during a catalytic reaction.

Prof. Roldan awarded Max-Planck-Society Fellowship
